Your child learns on their own journey. There is no public chat and no private messaging between members.

We ask only for the details we need to run your family’s account.

I am an Israeli father. I started Roots IL because I want children in England to meet a joyful, modern, secular Israel, with a few Hebrew words to take home.

I believe that culture is the strong foundation behind Israel’s achievements in every field. I want your teen to feel it and to enjoy it.

And teaching kids a little Israeli chutzpah? This is what it’s all about.

Common questions

What will my child discover?

Israeli music, food, stories and a few Hebrew words to take home. The first journey takes your child through ten Israeli cities, one step at a time.

What else will you offer?

We are building more journeys: a secular bar and bat mitzvah journey, a journey to prepare for Israel, and journeys through songs and stories. Founding crew members hear first.

Is there a chat with other teens?

Not at launch. We may offer optional meetings with teens in Israel in the future, always with a parent’s approval, and we will tell you first.

Does my teen need to know Hebrew?

No. Everything starts from zero, and your child goes at their own pace.
